Finally, I can almost relax. Everything is in ... pretty much in place. Last night, Heather and I went on a mad mad crazy shopping trip to about six different stores. My feet still hurt. We were on a 'budget' and kept having to go back to stores we had already been to, just to make sure that we got the best deal possible.

However, for the budget we were on, there will be plenty of food and plenty of alcohol for the event. I even managed to squeeze out a few gifts for Lisa out of what we had left over. Now there are only a few minor details, a bit of house-work and yard work and the party will come together.

For those that RSVP'd and are going to attend, I want to extend a very big THANK YOU. I'm sure this will not be one to miss. The only problem I'm thinking about is the HEAT ADVISORY that will be in effect all weekend. We have bottled water and should be able to manage to survive the day. There will also be hand fans at the park.

Note: If you're paying attention, you realize that Lisa's birthday was actually yesterday and since we were shopping, Lisa got to spend the evening of her birthday mostly by herself taking care of the kids.

Sorry, babe.

However, I am confident she will see that it was worth it.

Final note: if you have not RSVP'd by now or contacted me in some way, left email, left message BUT you decide you want to come anyway... go right ahead and do that. You may want to call me on the cell (314.724.7791) on your way, but unless you are bringing your tribe of 15 or more, I won't mind too much.

Oh, and I almost forgot.. For those of you that might have some plastic stackable lawn chair type furniture, you may want to bring it to the party at the house. The park has picnic benches, but their bolted down (darn) and I may not have enough seating at the house. Not that we'll be sitting outside much...

Lisa's birthday and the party approach and responses are still coming in amid technical problems. I've temporarily moved the hosting of http://lisa.arconati.us/ back onto BLOGSPOT servers as the server for http://arconati.us/ is having problems again today, most likely due to issues I've previsouly mentioned.

Blame the French

This last Monday and for several hours earlier this week, there were some ..'technical difficulties' on the server that this site is hosted on. Most noticably, this page wasn't here. MORE importantly, the email was also down or unresponsive for about twelve hours. If you sent in your RSVP by email on or around that time THAT MEANS I didn't get it. If you sent in your RSVP by email and have not yet received a reply from me directly THAT MEANS I didn't get it. It either bounced back to you or got lost in the internet ether. Responses are starting to come in now from all directions. Mostly emails and face-to-face responses so far, but there is still time. As a reminder, you can call me on my cell phone at 314.724.7791. If I do not answer, please leave me a voicemail and I will call you back. You may also email your RSVP to lisa.is.30@arconati.us and I get those in my inbox. We are buying soda and would like there to be enough per everyone's preference so include that in your response. Also, if you want to let us know which part of the party you will attend; picnic, drunken debauchery or both; that's okay too, but not necessary. You can also use the "comments" links here on this page to RSVP publicly, as I will track those as well.

And to answer a question that some people may have; no, this is not a surprise party. Lisa is aware there is going to be a party in her honor, approximately where it will be and the date. There were early plans to make it a complete surprise but there are simply too many other things going on this month to accomplish all that would need to get done without her getting wind of it. However, she does not know how many people we invited nor does she know how many people have RSVP'eed (haha, I said 'peed' ) So, there is a certain amount of surprise involved. In fact, she has not --to my knowledge-- even seen this web page!! -Although, I'm sure she will eventually..

The invitations were sent earlier this week and if you are reading this page it probably means that you got one. To reiterate and summarize, my wife, Lisa Arconati turns 30 years old on July 21^st. I and Heather VanMeter are throwing an all-day 30^th birthday party and picnic bash for her on July 23^rd. I don't like to brag, but it's gonna rock.

There will be music, but alas, we will not have dj kitten, despite many requests. Sorry.

There may have been a few changes since you last saw her. Since the first of this year, a practical transformation has occurred that is unprecedented. An overall seventeen inches smaller, twenty pounds lighter & as of July 21^st, 2005 she will be -

THIRTY YEARS OLD!!

To celebrate this auspicious occasion with our friends & family, we are throwing a PICNIC BASH. You must be there or you will miss the excitement. For this special event, we have chosen the location of St. Ferdinand Park in Florissant, Missouri. Plan to be there on the Saturday following her birthday, July 23^rd. The family-friendly picnic party will begin at 2pm at Pavilion #4. Around 6 or 6:30pm, the festivities will migrate to Lisa & Jim's house for a more adult-themed 21-&-over party continuing well into the evening.

Food will be provided but bring a dish if you would like to. Definitely bring your own drinks & hard liquor to supplement the beer, soda & wine coolers that we will have here at our house. Because of the expected hot humid summer weather that St. Louis is famous for, you may want to wear a swimsuit under your clothes, as there will be optional merriment with water balloons & water guns. For those guests that are traveling far and may not be familiar with the area, here are some directions -

To Park	From Park to House	To House
Hwy 270 to Lindbergh Blvd. North on Lindbergh several blocks then past Patterson, left on Saint Ferdinand St. to Saint Ferdinand Park Dr. and turn left. Follow left around until #4 by volleyball court.	Back out to Lindbergh and make a left. Go about 3 blocks to a right on New Florissant Rd. Then an almost immediate left onto Fox Run until it ends at Burning Tree. go right and look for 1450 on left.	Hwy 270 to New Florissant Rd. and go North. Go almost all the way to Lindbergh, turning right onto Fox Run, follow this until it ends at Burning Tree, go right and look for 1450 on left.
